Spare Parts is a popular & diverse cover/variety band from Houston, TX, featuring  the outstanding talents of 6 dynamic Houston musicians.   Spare Parts plays music targeted at a broad audience and are a favorite of many club and restaurant establishments, festivals, corporate events, live TV and Radio broadcasts and private parties.   The band has just completed their first original recording project titled "Music From Bedrooms"  The album was released under the band name "August 83”

Inspired by artists like Sting, Toto, Pink Floyd,  Journey, Sheryl Crow, Elton John , Heart & Queen, their repertoire is diverse and expansive.  They play many styles of music including Pop,  Funk, Dance, Rock, R&B, Classic Rock,  Adult Contemporary and Light Jazz.  Spare Parts was nominated  in the 2010 Houston Press  Music Awards for best Cover Band and were invited to play at The Houston  Press  Music Awards Showcase.

Spare Parts performs at many Houston area venues such as  The Hard Rock Café, Capone’s Bar & Oven, The Concert Pub, Baker Street Pub,  Main Street Crossing,  Pennison’s, & Kilburn's.  They have been featured in many popular music festivals  some of which include The Houston Press Music Awards showcase, The GoGirlsMusicFest,  The Houston Hot Sauce Festival and the prestigious South By Southwest Conference (SXSW) in Austin. Spare Parts recently performed live on  Houston Fox affiliate KRIV morning news and on Radio Station  90.1 FM KPFT. 

The band is currently playing shows in Texas  and working on new music.
